Tomorrow, Darrin Jefferson is supposed to plead guilty to 2nd degree murder.

It was supposed to happen yesterday, but someone goofed up and he didn’t make it to court. Either the court clerk forgot to order him, or Jackson County Jail didn’t put him on the bus. So our trip was a wasted trip. We’re rescheduled for 9:30 tomorrow morning.

It would be nice to have all three of the 2nd degree folks plead guilty…but I have a bad feeling about Melissa. I know Anthony won’t plead because he’s got nothing to lose by trying for less than life in prison, and I know we won’t accept him trying to plead for anything less than 1st degree murder.
